SMS and Text Message Communications
HoneyDo LLC operates Nation App, a workforce communication service licensed to employers. Mobile telephone numbers are collected in two ways: submitted by an authorized Operator representative as part of employee onboarding, or entered by the Team Member directly within the Nation App.
No Sharing or Sale of Mobile Information
Mobile telephone numbers and SMS consent are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
Mobile Information is shared only with the subprocessors strictly necessary to deliver messages you have requested or consented to receive — specifically our SMS delivery provider — and those providers are contractually prohibited from using Mobile Information for any purpose other than message delivery on our behalf.
No Mobile Information is shared with lead generators, data brokers, or advertising networks under any circumstances. This restriction survives termination of your account and applies to all categories of text message we send.
Text Message Consent
Consent to receive text messages is obtained separately from all other consents and is not a condition of employment or of purchasing any goods or services. Consent applies only to the message categories disclosed at the time consent was given.
Message categories are limited to the following:
- Account activation and identity verification codes
- Important operational announcements sent by your employer, including unplanned closures, severe weather notices, emergency and safety notices, payroll and tax document availability, and compliance or policy updates
We do not send marketing, promotional, or third-party content by text message.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies. Account activation messages are sent once per account. Announcement messages are sent by your employer as events occur and are not sent on a fixed schedule. Recipients should expect approximately 2 to 8 messages per month, though volume may be higher during weather events, closures, or other operational disruptions.
Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. HoneyDo LLC is not responsible for charges assessed by your mobile carrier. Please contact your carrier for details about your messaging plan.
Opting Out and Help
You may cancel text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message received from us. You will receive a single confirmation message, after which no further messages will be sent to that number. Reply START to resume messaging.
For assistance, reply HELP to any message or contact us at support@nationapp.com. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Alternative Delivery
Opting out of SMS does not remove you from the Nation App or from your employer's roster. Announcements from your employer remain available to you through in-app delivery and push notification.
Use of Data
HoneyDo LLC uses the collected data for the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain our Service
- To verify the identity of Team Members during account activation
- To deliver operational announcements from an Operator to its own employees
- To notify you about changes to our Service
- To allow you to participate in interactive features of our Service when you choose to do so
- To provide customer support
- To gather analysis or valuable information so that we can improve our Service
- To monitor the usage of our Service
- To detect, prevent, and address technical issues
- To provide you with news, special offers, and general information about other goods, services, and events which we offer that are similar to those you have already purchased or enquired about, unless you have opted not to receive such information. This communication is sent by email only and is never sent by text message.
Transfer of Data
Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to and maintained on computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.
If you are located outside the United States and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data, including Personal Data, to the United States and process it there. Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.
HoneyDo LLC will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy, and no transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place, including the security of your data and other personal information.
Disclosure of Data
Legal Requirements
HoneyDo LLC may disclose your Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:
- Comply with a legal obligation
- Protect and defend the rights or property of HoneyDo LLC
- Prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Service
- Protect the personal safety of users of the Service or the public
- Protect against legal liability
Disclosure to Employers
Because the Service is licensed to employers, your Operator has access to the account information associated with your employment, including your name, work location, and whether you have activated your account. Your Operator can see whether you have opted out of text messaging so that they may reach you through an alternative channel. Your Operator does not receive the content of your private communications with HoneyDo LLC support.
Security of Data
The security of your data is important to us, but no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Do Not Track Signals
Under the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA), we are required to disclose our practices regarding "Do Not Track" signals. We do not support Do Not Track ("DNT"). Do Not Track is a preference you can set in your web browser to inform websites that you do not want to be tracked. You can enable or disable Do Not Track by visiting the Preferences or Settings page of your web browser.
Service Providers
We may employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service ("Service Providers"), provide the Service on our behalf, perform Service-related services, or assist us in analyzing how our Service is used. These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
Notwithstanding the above, Mobile Information is not shared with any Service Provider except as strictly required to transmit messages you have consented to receive. No Service Provider is permitted to use Mobile Information for marketing, resale, or any independent purpose.
Analytics
We may use third-party Service Providers to monitor and analyze the use of our Service.
Google Analytics. Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Service. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network. You can opt out of having your activity on the Service made available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, which prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript from sharing information about your visit activity. For more information on the privacy practices of Google, please visit https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Payments
We may provide paid products and services within the Service. In that case, we use third-party services for payment processing. We will not store or collect your payment card details. That information is provided directly to our third-party payment processors, whose use of your personal information is governed by their own privacy policy.
These payment processors adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, a joint effort of brands including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of payment information.
Stripe. Stripe's privacy policy can be viewed at https://stripe.com/us/privacy.
SMS Delivery
We use a third-party messaging provider to transmit text messages. This provider processes mobile telephone numbers solely to deliver messages on our behalf and is contractually prohibited from using, selling, or sharing that information for any other purpose.
Google Calendar Integration
To enhance the user experience, HoneyDo LLC offers the option to synchronize with Google Calendar. This functionality enables our Service to facilitate time management by connecting reminders with your Google Calendar.
Data We Request
Calendars. We retrieve the list of your calendars to ensure the correct calendar is selected for placing reminders and events.
Calendar Events. We use the ability to convert reminders into calendar events and to convert calendar events into SMS reminders, for a more interconnected reminder experience.
Use and Storage of Data
If you set a reminder such as "Remind me Thursday at 4 to pack for vacation" and have integrated Google Calendar, our Service can automatically schedule an event titled "Pack for vacation" for 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, events in your Google Calendar can be converted into SMS reminders. All data concerning Google Calendar integration, including OAuth tokens, calendar lists, and event references, is stored in our databases with appropriate security measures.
Sharing of Data
HoneyDo LLC does not share, sell, or otherwise disclose data related to your Google Calendar integration to any third parties, companies, or organizations.
Data Deletion Upon Integration Removal
Should you decide to end the Google Calendar integration, all associated data — from OAuth tokens to calendar listings and event references — will be permanently deleted from our databases and will not be recoverable. Pre-existing reminders or events on your Google Calendar will remain unaffected unless manually deleted by you.
Data Retention and Your Rights
We retain Personal Data for as long as your account remains active and as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Records of SMS opt-out requests are retained indefinitely in order to honor those requests.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your Personal Data by contacting us at the address below. Certain records may be retained where required by law or by an Operator's recordkeeping obligations.
Minors
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 16.
Individuals aged 16 and 17 may hold a Nation App account where they are lawfully employed by an Operator in accordance with applicable federal and state labor laws. In such cases, the account is created at the direction of the employer as part of the employment relationship, and the employer is responsible for obtaining any parental or guardian consent required by law. Text messages sent to accounts held by individuals under 18 are limited to the transactional and operational categories described in this policy and never include marketing content.
If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child has provided us with Personal Data outside of a lawful employment relationship, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from a child under 16, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. We will let you know via email or a prominent notice on our Service prior to the change becoming effective, and we will update the effective date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
